Cut Back Studios

Founded in 2005, Cut Back Studios is a film music production company. It has a Integrationist Philosophy, where every single production service, from the very first idea to the final product delivery, is produced within the installations. This way of working, speeds the process up, keeping high quality standards, and with very competitive prices.

Amongst its installations, it has an impressive 6500 ft² Scoring Stage (one of the biggest in Spain), two composing focused studios (in Spain and Los Angeles) and other studio designed for Recording (voices, solo instruments, small ensembles) and Mixing, where the final process of the soundtracks is done.

The Control Room was designed to offer the finest sound quality, with an almost identical sound in any point of it. It was built under the Britannic acoustic engineer Philip R. Newell designs. Philip, Virgin Records' technical ex-director, produced and engineered some of the rock biggest stars, like QueenMike OldfieldThe Who y Led Zeppelin, amongst others. He was in charge of installing and tuning the main speakers (RA240b). The recording room, due its mobile-panel system, is very flexible. Also, the natural light and ventilation flow, makes this place very comfortable for the long hours recording sessions.

Cut Back Studios works mainly from Spain and Los Angeles, offering these days services to Europe, USA and Asia. It counts with a 5 people team that eventually increases the number for bigger projects.

Marc Jovani, CEO of the production company resides in Spain most of the time, with periodical stages to Los Angeles or any other part if the complexity of the project requires being close to the team.
